Jack Ryan Whiskey Adds Gold & Silver To Their Ever Growing Award Collection

Jack Ryan Whiskey wins in San Francisco World Spirits Competition and in Irish Whiskey Awards.

Jack Ryan Whiskey has added yet another two awards to their ever-growing collection: Silver Medal in the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2023 and Gold Medal in the Irish Whiskey Award 2022.

Raglan Road 5yr old Single Malt Cask Strength – Brehon Brewhouse Collaboration took home the Silver Medal in the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2023.

The Raglan Road 5 Year Old Irish Single Malt, cask strength 54.9% ABV, is another collaboration, aged in bourbon, matured in madeira, finished in imperial stout produced by Seamus McMahon’s Brehon Brewhouse. This fine craft brewery is situated in Killanny Monaghan, across the fields from poet Patrick Kavanagh’s Inniskeen homeplace. Kavanagh spent much of his life in Dublin, and was very well known around Ballsbridge and D4 in general, including the Beggars Bush (a Ryan establishment). Raglan Road seemed a fitting name for this town and country, Dublin and Monaghan, family to family, Ryan and McMahon, collaboration. An ambitious and technically difficult finish on the palate showing Honey Nut Cheerios, bread crust, bran biscuits, orange peel, and thick gooey nougat. As with the nose, with water comes orange blossom water – and more cereals and citrus wax. We think we got it just right; judge for yourself. 3,500 bottles, numbered, and signed by Eunan Ryan.

Finisher’s Touch 12yr old Single Malt – Justino’s Collaboration, won the Gold Medal in Irish Whiskey Awards 2022.

Finisher’s Touch ‘The Generation Trilogy’ third release is an 12 Year Old Irish Single Malt, matured in bourbon, finished in Justino’s madeira. We sent bourbon and virgin oak casks all the way to Funchal, where they were seasoned with madeira by Juan Teixeira. They were then brought back and filled, the finished whiskey showing blood orange, clementine, and tangerine with some forest notes in there on the palate. This whiskey completes The Generation Trilogy. Winner of Gold as overall winner at the 2022 Irish Whiskey Awards in the category ‘Single Malt 12 – 15 years’. All three of The Generation Trilogy – Toomevara, Haddington and Finisher’s Touch – have won Gold in the Irish Whiskey Awards or the San Francisco World Spirits. 3,500 bottles, numbered, and signed by Eunan Ryan.
