The ambitious and entrepreneurial drinks business, Cult Drinks were delighted to beat off stiff competition to win the coveted award in 2019.
With over 40 years combined experience and having successfully launched a diverse portfolio of drinks brands across 19 countries globally, the judges cited Cult Drinks’ impressive year on year growth and continued commercial success as core reasons the business stood out from the crowd.
Led by Co-Founders Eunan Ryan and Sarah-Jane Brangam, the dynamic and driven pair have trebled their team size to 10 staff, launched their own bottling facility and are continuously expanding their portfolio of innovative brands all developed in response to clear consumer demand and market opportunities.
The Cult Drinks team beat off stiff competition of over 200 entries and the other 9 finalists in the Fingal category and went on to represent the Fingal area at the National Business Awards. . Among the special guests at the awards ceremony was the Mayor of Fingal Cllr Anthony Lavin and Chief Executive Paul Reid. Members of the judging panel included Jock Jordan of One4All Gift Vouchers and Deirdre O’Neill of Enterprise Ireland. The awards recognise the key economic contribution of small businesses and Cult Drinks were rewarded for their creativity, ambition and adaptability.
Paul Reid, Chief Executive of Fingal County Council congratulated the winners Cult Drinks and acknowledged the contribution of the small business sector: “We need to shine a light on our local and small businesses as they continue to create much of our employment growth. Very importantly, our local entrepreneurs need to be celebrated. It is through their innovation, creativity and determination that our younger generations will be inspired as our economy thrives in the coming years”.
Sarah-Jane, a renowned female entrepreneur said, ‘The Fingal Local Enterprise Office have been incredible in the support they’ve given us through our expansion plan from hiring to capital investment and this award is brilliant for the exposure and important to the continued success of Cult Drinks’.
Cult’s winning formula is founded in their ability to respond at speed to market trends to innovate, develop, brand, launch and market purpose-led drinks brands at a global and local market level.
With their ambitions only increasing, Cult Drinks will use this award win to continue maximising relationships with global distribution partners and identifying opportunities for new brands and portfolio development to serve the global consumers, including 3 hot drinks globally – rum, whiskey and pre-mixed drinks.
Cult’s brands currently include Piranha Schnapps, Jack Ryan Whiskey and the newly relaunched FATFROG.
